1st October 2021

Urban Forums will form open-discussion spaces chaired by the local team. Activities will take place over a half-day primarily online (zoom) with physical attendance by local scholars and stakeholders if possible (max. 10 local attendees).
Forums will begin with a presentation from a local scholar followed by an online workshop by Professor Mel Woods on virtual co-production methods (using visual collaboration platform Miro).
Round tables will then address the themes below in relation to each local context, making use of the Miro platform as a collaborative discussion space:

–           What impact has Covid-19 had on the city’s creative economies?

–           What alternative forms of creativity and urban interaction emerged during pandemic?

–           What local opportunities are there for the sustainable and inclusive (re)development and how can this be supported by policy?

A Southern city (Cape Town) discussion will follow, supporting expanded mutual learning.
